Not all EPP pieces have to match!

We are so used to doing things a certain way, even if this means there are limitations, so when we look at things from another angle we soon discover the world is our oyster! If we are not restricted to aligning straight edges of EPP pieces, we can discover a new world of creating designs that we never knew we could!

Available to buy as a single class from mid April 2024.  Class goes live on 1 May 2024.

Doodle away!

You will soon discover that whatever you can draw you can cut out and EPP together. It is such a revelation to see how easy it is to translate your drawing into an EPP pattern ready to sew and once you have learnt how to EPP curves you will be creating all sorts of amazing pieces!

Week 1

We will start by looking at how to draw a curved design and mark it up ready to learn the technique to sew the pieces together. We will also discuss the best way to draw the shape so it appears the right way round when it is pieced.

Week 2

In Week 2 we will be concentrating on learning the skill of flat back stitching to align and hold our curved pieces and sew our shape together.

Week 3

In Week 3 we will create our bias strips to appliqué onto our background fabric ahead of removing the EPP papers from our Wire Flower and appliquéing that on top.

Week 4

In this final week we will be finishing off our piece by looking at enhancing it with hand quilting and a hand finished binding.
