By varying the width of the log cabins Karen has created curves to construct the oversized flower and butterflies in this striking quilt.

Make just one dramatic flower as a centre piece for a table or your wall or piece together the whole quilt for a truly eye catching piece.

Techniques galore!

Karen will show you traditional techniques to piece together the blocks or foundation paper piece the narrow logs for accurate precision.

Whichever way you piece, or a mixture of them all, and however many butterflies and flowers you create, you are sure to create something unique and wonderful!

Week 1

We will begin by starting with the simplest block, the butterfly and learn to make this with two straight forward techniques. 

Week 2

In Week 2 we will make the asymmetric log cabin leaf blocks and look at sashing them toether with the stem.

Week 3

In Week 3 we will look at piecing together the flower blocks and look at introducing other colours to add detail to our flowers..

Week 4

In our final week we will look sashing and completing our Log Cabin Wallflower.
