FPP your own Ginkgo tree!

Following on from Karen's popular Wire Flower foundation paper piecing block, we are now introduced to her delicate Ginkgo leaf block.

The Ginkgo leaf block can be used as single block to make a pretty table mat or go as small or as big as you would like from cushion to full sized quilt. You can also use one section of the templates repeated to make the clever flower version.

Available to buy as a single class from mid July 2026.  Class goes live on 1 August.

Choices, choices, choices!

Take the skills Karen will cover to make just one block to use as anything from a table mat to a cushion cover or go wild and keep stitching to make a full quilt with this pretty block.

Karen will also illustrate how you can use one section of the block to construct a secondary flower block with a needle turn appliquéd centre.

Week 1

We will begin by going through the foundation paper piecing steps to make the Ginkgo Leaf block.

Week 2

We will look at the options of sashing these blocks to construct a quilt.

Week 3

In Week 3 we will look at how to use just one section of the Ginkgo Leaf to make our alternative Flower block and how to needle turn appliqué the centre.

Week 4

In our final week we will look at options for finishing off our quilt and other projects.
