Single Fold and Flange Binding with Jo Avery

Jo has been using a single-fold binding since the 1990’s and loves sharing this quick, economic technique with others, it is especially perfect for those smaller scale projects. She will show you how to achieve this with a hand or machine finish.

Want to make your binding extra fancy? Jo will also show you a quick and easy way to add a flange to your binding to make your quilts a little bit more special.

Double Fold Machine Binding with Lynne Goldsworthy

Lynne's approach to every aspect of quilting is to find the quickest and easiest way to get the job done.  She can bind a 72" square in twenty minutes.  Of course this is machine bound and not hand stitched.

The first part of the process is the same but Lynne then machine stitches the binding to the back creating a lovely little framing line of stitches around the edge of the front of the quilt like a little design extra!
